Russian govt approves bill on occupational pensions from 55, 60

MOSCOW, Sep 5 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has supported a draft law allowing people to receive occupational pensions starting from 55 years for women and 60 for men, the United Russia deputies in the parliament said in a statement on Thursday.

“A positive review by the government of Russia on a bill allowing people to receive occupational pensions for women from 55 and for men who have reached 60 has arrived to the State Duma (parliament’s lower chamber). The amendments to the law of non-state pension funds have been submitted for consideration of the lower chamber of the parliament by the group of deputies of the State Duma,” the officials said.

If the draft law is approved, the retirement age for occupational pensions will be five years lower than for state pensions.
